Here at the AWL, we work hard to not only adopt out the animals in our care, but to reunite lost pets with their families as well! Below is a list of what to do if you have lost or found an animal. Please note that we may not be able to accept every stray into our facility, however, we do want to do all that we can to get pets back to their humans.
To reclaim a pet from us, you must provide proof that the pet is yours, such as pictures, vet records etc.
If you have lost a pet, please read the information below! If you have found a pet, please skip to the “If You Have Found A Stray” tab that is under this one!
We keep lost pets for 3 days before they receive a full intake and are put through our adoption process.
Check Our Found Pet Page on Our Website:
Our website provides a basic description of the animals that are brought to our facility as a stray. If one of the descriptions matches your pet’s, please give us a call at (574) 267-3008 for more information.
The website page doesn’t update instantly, so if you don’t see your pet, please call to double check that we don’t currently have your animal.
